After Frank Herbert died, his son collaborated with Kevin J. Anderson to write a series of prequels to the events of Dune. The first set of prequels recounts the events of Duke Leto's life before the events of Dune. The second set of prequels takes place over a span of about a century 2000 years before the events of Dune. |
