COURSE DESCRIPTION:

Examines the cultural, political, and economic history of the Commonwealth from its beginning to the present. HIS 281 begins in Elizabethan England and concludes in the Revolutionary War period. Lecture 3 hours per week.

COURSE REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3 ESSAY EXAMINATIONS 25%, 25%, 25%

  • CLASS PARTICIPATION  10%

  • HISTORIC SITE PAPER   15%
