Evolution of Animals III & Final Lab Quiz

GRADING - Lab is 25% of your BIO 101 grade.  Your grade will be composed of the average of 12 weekly quizzes (13 will be given, the lowest will be dropped), and an attendance grade.

Each week at the beginning of the lab you will have a written quiz  on the previous week’s lab.  These quizzes may contain diagrams to label, short answers, definitions, multiple choice, matching, fill in the blank, true false, and occasional microscopic identifications.  Cheating will not be tolerated.  Please do not wear brimmed hats during the quizzes.

Attendance is expected.  If no labs are missed you will have a 100 for your attendance grade.  For each absence you will lose 15 points from this attendance grade.  Taking the lab quiz and leaving is considered an absence.  Leaving early from lab will be considered a partial or complete absence dependent on the amount of the lab exercise you have completed.

Make up Lab quizzes:  If a lab is missed a make up lab quiz can be taken during my office hours, or at another arranged time, prior to the next time your lab meets.  Make up quizzes can be more difficult that the in class quizzes and can cover anything discussed in lab, done in lab, or in the lab manual.

Please do not bring audible pagers or cell phones to lab.
