Objectives:

To familiarize students with the basic visual characteristics of form and space. i.e. color, texture, rhythm, scale, proportions and light.

To help students connect these concepts to architectural experience.

To help students apply these concepts in creating architectural space and form.

To explore the idea that architecture is a cultural expression of time and place.

5. Experiencing Architecture Workshop- Intro. Design Space     build 2 study models  6-7hours each

Evaluation and Attendance:

<>Student performance on each of the three projects will determine 1/3 of the semester grade.  Students are expected to attend all classes.
Two or more absences during the semester will result in the assignment of a letter grade no higher than a “B”, three or more no higher than a “C”.
If you miss a class you must bring in two assignments when you return.   The last day to withdraw for a refund is March 26th. 
The last day to withdraw with a W is April 15th.
All policies related to student conduct outlined in the NVCC Student Handbook will be adhered to.
