Overview

During the spring semester, faculty and staff, with funding provided by the Information Technology Committee of NVCC, continued to collaborate on the development of the Dogwood Project (http://www.nvcc.edu/Dogwood).

Because of the modest available funding, participants received only a small stipend for work on their projects during the spring semester. The project participants for this year included: Kate Blackwell (WO), Ruihua Dong (AL), Robin Gorham (AN), Diana Kerns (MA), John Min (AL), Vicki Poulakis (LO), Laura Shulman (MA) and Eric Trumbull (WO). Terrence Doyle and Robert Brown have worked on a redesign of the Dogwood web site, and Cathy Simpson of TAC has helped with coordinating the Dogwood meetings. The participants have produced excellent web resources.

During the spring, the project directors presented the project at the League for Innovation conference in Atlanta and at the New Horizons conference in Williamsburg, where the project received a VCCS Technology in Education Award.
