DOGWOOD PROJECT CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS
Fall 1999-Spring 2000
C. Evans, J. Sage, A. Taormina, D. Thompson

Dogwood, an experimental virtual learning environment, is entering its third year at NVCC.  We have received grant funding from Dr. Belle Wheelan to expand our site, so we are looking for a few great web-savvy faculty who want to participate in this year's project.  We have three credits reassigned time for each of ten participants in the spring of 2000.

Projects, when finished, should be devoted to a single subject, offer substantial content, be attractively organized, and become available for shared use by faculty and students.  Projects should not be web courses. Some examples of previous projects include the Roosevelt site by Jud Sage, the Versailles site by Charlie Evans, the Web Design Center by Aggie Taormina, and the Troy Stories site by Diane Thompson.  You can visit these sites from the Dogwood home page.

If you have any questions, contact any of the following: Charlie Evans, Jud Sage, Aggie Taormina or Diane Thompson.  If you would like to join us, send an email proposal to Charlie Evans.  Explain the project you are working on and how it would fit into our overall project, give a brief history of your technical experience working on the web and let us know if you wish to mentor other faculty to use the web and the Dogwood project.

The deadline for submission of proposals is October 1, 1999.
