Customized Contract Training

NOVA's American Culture and Language Institute offers ESL training that is customized for the needs of businesses and organizations in our community. At the request of agency or business representatives, the ACLI conducts needs assessments, provides consultation and designs training curriculum in order to meet the language and cultural needs of the organization. Most courses are offered on-site in the workplace. They vary in topic and length according to the recommended curriculum.

Students earn Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for their study in contract ESL courses. One CEU equals 10 hours of class.

ACLI Customized ESL courses are taught by ESL professionals with advanced degrees and diverse teaching experiences within the U.S. and abroad. The ACLI looks to match the background of the instructor with the needs of the client. Many contract instructors also have experience in the American workplace.

The ACLI has created and taught customized courses for a variety of local industries. They include communications, education, government, healthcare, hospitality, landscaping, manufacturing, retail and more. The ACLI works regularly with both regional and national organizations.
