This
new
scholarship program was established by SCHEV to help address the teacher
shortage in Virginia by assisting undergraduate students enrolled in a
K-12 teacher preparation program. Preference is given to students enrolled

Jack
Kent Cooke Foundation Undergraduate Scholarship Program
is open to students who currently attend a community college or two-year
institution located in the United States and plan to transfer to a
four-year college or university. The
award will provide funding for tuition, room and board, required fees, and
books for the remainder of the Jack Kent Cooke Scholar’s undergraduate
degree. Award amounts will
vary for each recipient based on the institution he or she attends.
Scholarship monies not used during the one academic year are not
transferable to the next academic year.
The scholarship is renewable for each year of the undergraduate
study if the scholar continues to meet the program requirements.
