Charges to the Steering Committee
I. Establish workgroups
- Create functional area workgroups to assist with the implementation tasks: familiarizing, testing and problem-solving; training; and follow-through.
II. Familiarizing, Testing and Problem-Solving
- Participate in AIS familiarization training and review the appropriate AIS9 modules thoroughly to become familiar with navigation and functionality;
- Review relevant table set up and related business processes for appropriate AIS modules;
- Develop and implement a testing plan for confirmation of module readiness by testing AIS functionality with NOVA data when it first becomes available and just prior to going live with the new version;
- Identify gaps or data conversion problems based on testing of appropriate AIS modules with NOVA data;
- Redesign business processes and workarounds as needed, based on testing of AIS; and
- Develop written documentation of business processes for appropriate AIS modules.
III. Training
- Identify and help design necessary training for the staff who are not on the Steering Committee to prepare them for AIS implementation; and
- Deliver end-user training to peers on the appropriate modules
IV. Follow-through
- Identify ongoing unresolved issues to be addressed after the initial mplementation of AIS;
- Identify necessary changes to model operator IDs that control access to AIS functions;
- Recommend policy changes to support new and revised business processes in AIS
- Assist with reviewing and updating NOVA queries and reports based on data in AIS;
- Work with other committees to identify cross-module problems or issues in AIS
- Assist with end-user support during the implementation and initial registration using AIS.
