The role of the Senior Budget Analyst is to assist budget development, forecasting, and reporting. The Senior Budget Analyst combines technical knowledge of budgeting, HR, Finance, and student information to develop complex budget models, provide budget projections, conduct analysis using statistical formulas, and provide recommendations for alternative budget formulas.

The role of the Budget Analyst II is to provide entrepreneurial and special program accounting, assist in developing and administering the department's cost allocations, process reimbursements of State M&O funds, and conduct/report complex analysis. The Analyst performs faculty release time tracking and reporting, salary and wage reimbursements, ensures the accuracy of transactions posted in AIS, assists in budget development by developing and modifying computer budget models to make budget projections, conducts budget analysis using statistical formulas to consider numerous factors that vary among departments, analyses plans and budget requests, and recommends alternative budget formulas.

The role of the Budget Analyst II is to provide budget preparation and analysis, and any other professional/technical support critical to the management of budgeting. The Budget Analyst combines technical knowledge of budgeting, HR, and Finance along with data warehouse systems and PeopleSoft to perform budget analysis work by compiling and interpreting fiscal data used to develop and monitor operating and/or capital budgets. The Analyst develops and modifies various budgeting models to make projections, conducts budget analysis using statistical formulas, analyzes plans and budget requests, and recommends alternative budget solutions.

The Senior Budget Analyst for Grants and Contracts is responsible for all financial activity occurring within the college's restricted funding ledger. This includes accounting and budgeting functions related to grants and contracts, and maintenance of financial aid funding. The Senior Budget Analyst is responsible for financial reporting, data accuracy, program compliance requirements, reconciliation of revenue, expenditures and cash activity for sponsored programs, and performs ongoing analysis to improve operations.

The Grants Accountant is responsible for duties related to the budgeting, accounting, and financial record-keeping of State, Federal, and Private grants and contracts. Duties include financial reporting, budget setup, funding requests, cash management, expenditure monitoring, reconciliations, and maintenance of system records. To accomplish this, the Grants Accountant continually monitors activity in the ledger designated for restricted grant funding by verifying cash balances, analyzing transactions and discrepancies, and taking corrective action as necessary. In addition, the Grants Accountant provides financial assistance and coordination to programmatic personnel assigned to a grant/contract to maintain compliance with financial requirements established by the agency or sponsor funding the award.
