PERSONAL ENRICHMENT
Learning doesn't stop when you graduate!
- Personal enrichment classes help you keep learning about the things that interest you. Learn a new language... plan a vacation… learn how to ride a motorcycle... play golf... or surf the Internet on your personal computer.
- Lifelong Learning helps you achieve balance between your vocational and avocational interests.
- Employers may want to offer a fitness, stress-management, or foreign language class at the worksite.
Lifetime Learning Tax Credit
Beginning July 1, 1996, taxpayers may be eligible to claim a non-refundable Lifetime Learning Tax Credit to help them pay for postsecondary education for themselves and/or their dependent children. These tax credits can reduce the amount of federal income tax on returns filed in 1999 or later.
This credit applies to tuition and fees for undergraduate, graduate, and continuing education course work taken part-time to improve or upgrade job skills.
