Construction and Building Trades
The construction industry represents a diverse workforce. Therefore, the occupations served by the Construction and Building Institute range from heavy equipment operators to interior design professionals.
Whether building roads or housing developments, designing office complexes or backyard gardens, or selling and inspecting properties or projects, the employees tasked with building Northern Virginia will require quality, cost-effective training. The NVCC Construction and Building Trades Institute is ready to train a productive, professional workforce.
Mission
To support the workforce development efforts of a comprehensive construction industry by providing quality training for individuals regardless of their level of proficiency.
Vision
In partnership with the construction industry, NVCC will be the premiere training provider for the nation's construction-oriented workforce -- as the industry changes, the institute will deliver an innovative curriculum to meet the new demands.

- Carpentry framing
- Construction management technology
- Engineering -- technology, civil, drafting
- Computer aided drafting and design

- Real estate -- brokerage, appraisal
- Welding
Additionally, the Construction Institute can provide continuing education classes for individuals who want to acquire or maintain professional certifications/licenses through updating their knowledge of industry regulations. Employers are encouraged to suggest training for their specific occupations.
