Academic Advising

Advising is important at NOVA. It is positive connections between students and faculty. Advising provide tools, information, and resources to students as they continue their education with us.
Counselors will work with new students to select their course for the first term and subsequent terms, if they have not declared a major.
Once a student has declared a major, they are assigned a faculty member who works with them in accomplishing their educational and career goals.
We want to provide students with the opportunity to work with faculty members who will assist in enhancing their classroom experiences with NOVA.
