Serves as the principle technical support to the College Financial Aid department. This administrative position is responsible for the wide range of technical support services provided to faculty, staff and students. These include information technology support, development and support of customized computer applications, support for new online tools, coordination of schedule of classes and PeopleSoft data entry, and insuring support for a 24/7 operation.  This position provides management planning, coordination and evaluation of this section of the ELI Department; develops and manages an annual plan; reviews and approves new program implementation and assists in the establishment and training on new programs; and provides leadership and consultant services to other departments inside and outside of the ELI unit. Required: Bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Information Design, Library or Information Science or related field required. Master’s degree preferred. This position works under the Director of Human Resources and directs and manages all aspects of recruitment, including web-based recruitment,  and hiring processes in accordance with federal and Virginia employment laws, regulations and procedures. The Extended Learning Institute (ELI) at Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA) is seeking a Database Developer to maintain and optimize the in-house program database tool, including error handling, SQL query optimization, and reporting. Some experience with analysis Manager, Data warehouses and Reporting Services a big plus. Required: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or closely related area, 2+ years developing Microsoft based applications using SQL in a Microsoft SQL Server environment. (Director IT Client Services) IT Specialist III, Instructional & Information Technology (Position 479)

Manage overall operation of the IT Client Services Division, including the College Help Desk; and to provide direct end-user support for the Medical Education Campus and Extended Learning Institute (distance learning) in Springfield, and the College Central Administration in Annandale.  Candidate is required to have experience managing budgets and significant IT projects involving multiple users, and knowledge of emerging trends in enterprise-wide technology use and support, and excellent communication skills.  Experience with Help Desk Operations, enterprise level document imaging, and with technology in a medical setting is desired.  Experience with conference room/classroom technologies (e.g. projectors, control units, audio) also desired.
