Admission Information

If you are not currently enrolled as a student at NOVA, you will need to submit an online online application for admission.

NOVA is an open admission college, which means you do not need to take an entrance exam to be admitted (such as the SAT or ACT). You also are not required to provide any high school or academic transcripts. You can attend NOVA if you are 18 years of age or older or hold a high school diploma or its equivalent.

High school students must be at least 16 years old to attend NOVA, and present written permission from their parents or guardian and high school principal.

NOTE: Students applying for admission in the Allied Health, Nursing or Veterinary Technology programs must meet the special admission requirements outlined for these areas in the NOVA Catalog.

If you are a Virginia resident filing a paper application, be sure to also file an in-state tuition application; otherwise, you will be charged the out-of-state tuition rate, which is significantly higher.
