Students Competed for a Common Cause
More than 90,000 individuals in Northern Virginia are living in poverty, 30 percent of whom are children. In an effort to make a difference, the Student Activities offices at each NOVA Campus sponsored a food drive the month of October.
On behalf of those in need, the Student Activities offices presented a challenge to see which NOVA Campus could collect the most canned goods. Congratulations to the Medical Education Campus for winning the competition!
All the canned goods will be donated to different local food banks. The campus-wide food drive is now over, but you can still drop-off your nonperishable items in any of the collection boxes at NOVA’s Alexandria and Annandale Campuses during the month of November.
