Welcome

The mission of the office of Career and Technical Education is to provide leadership and facilitate special college initiatives in the area of career and technical education.

In alignment with Gateway 2015, the vision for the office of Career and Technical Education includes the establishment, development, and enhancement of career and technical education programs, delivery systems, and partnerships, in response to existing or forecasted institutional, community, and workforce training opportunities.

While individual campus Provosts and Academic Deans provide leadership for their respective programs, the office of Career and Technical Education serves the President, Executive Vice President, and other college stakeholders in meeting strategic college objectives.  Examples include ongoing work with The Governor’s Career and Technical Academy in Arlington and The Model Adult Automotive Pathway (MAAP) initiative.  The office of Career and Technical Education works with centralized and decentralized college units, as well as other college and community stakeholders to achieve its goals.
