Fair Share Allocation

I. FORMULA: The Northern Virginia Community College Board, in September 1976, approved a formula for allocation of fair share requests based on the population of participating jurisdictions. The Board revised the allocation formula in September 2000 by approving the administration request to use $1.00 times the participating political jurisdiction’s population to calculate the jurisdiction Fair Share allocation.

II. POPULATION: The population figures are from the Weldon Cooper Center for Public Service (revised January 22. 2007).
