Dawn Boykins is the coordinator of the CBO Initiative. She has extensive knowledge of both non-profit organizations and NOVA having worked for five years at Northern Virginia Family Service and nine years at the Community College. Ms. Boykins works with CBO students getting them admitted and enrolled plus providing financial aid workshops. She also handles the billing and invoicing procedures for the CBOs. Susanne Stevenson started as a student at NOVA majoring in accounting. She has worked as a work study student, administrative assistant in the Business Technologies Division, instructional assistant in the Business Technology Lab, and now as the administrative assistant in the CBO Office. As the administrative assistant, she helps with student financial aid and enrollments along with providing support for academic services. Roger Flores moved to the United States in 2006 with the goal of pursuing a better future. Started at NOVA as a student obtaining his Associate Degree in Business Administration and went on to pursue further educational goals in Accounting and Financial Management at George Mason University.
He has worked as the program developer for the Alexandria Campus Workforce Development & Continuing Education Office. He has prior experiences in Retail and Customer Service and as a Microsoft Office applications instructor. The knowledge and skills gained from these positions have prepared him for the current role as the Assistant Administrator for the CBO Initiative. Deidra Anderson has an undergraduate degree from Morgan State University and a graduate degree from Towson University. She has worked as an Admission's Officer for her alma mater and has tutored for AmeriCorps's AVID: College Readiness Program. She also has prior experience as a Project Coordinator assisting with corporate candidate recruiting. As the Assistant Faculty Administrator for the CBO Initiative, Deidra will be providing assistance to the CBO faculty and students, i.e. student and faculty evaluations plus facilitating orientations.
