SKIING I (1 CR.)
COURSE DESCRIPTION
Teaches basic skills
of downhill skiing, selection and use of equipment, terminology and safety
rules. Includes field experience. Lecture 1 hour. Laboratory 1 hour.
Total 2 hours per week.
GENERAL COURSE PURPOSE
The purpose of this
course is to teach basic skills and experience downhill skiing.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of
this course, the student will be able to:
A. perform fundamental
skills of downhill skiing
B. understand the
terminology and gain knowledge pertaining to skiing and equipment.
C. develop a high
level of fitness through downhill skiing.
