INTERMEDIATE FRENCH CONVERSATION I -II (3 CR.) (3 CR.)
COURSE DESCRIPTION
Continues to develop fluency through emphasis on idioms and other complex sentence structures. Lecture 3 hours per week.
GENERAL COURSE PURPOSE
This course provides further practice in speaking and understanding French with emphasis on improving fluency and acquiring ease in the language, while stressing correctness of structure, pronunciation and vocabulary.
ENTRY LEVEL COMPETENCY
The prerequisite for this course is FRE 202 – "Intermediate French II" or equivalent, or permission of the instructor.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
FRE 211 - Upon completion of the course, the student should be able to speak comfortably about topics of public and personal interest.
FRE 212 - Upon completion of the course, the student should be able to participate effectively in conversations on practical, social, professional and abstract topics.
MAJOR TOPICS TO BE COVERED
Topics may include social, cultural or political issues as well as current events.
