OF AMERICAN ART (3 CR.) (3 CR.)
COURSE DESCRIPTION
A survey of art in
America from Colonial times to the present. In additional to architecture,
painting, and sculpture, photography, crafts, furniture, and the decorative
arts are included. Lecture 3 hours per week.
GENERAL COURSE PURPOSE
The purpose of this
course is to provide the student with an in-depth survey of the history
of the fine arts in the United States from the 17th through
the 20th century.
ENTRY LEVEL COMPETENCIES
No prerequisites are
required for this course.
