Instructs the student in the design and installation of a hydronic system used for heating or cooling. Hydronics which covers hot water, steam, and chilled water systems under a forced circulation method. Lecture 3 hours. Laboratory 2 hours. Total 5 hours per week.
GENERAL COURSE PURPOSE
This course of study will provide the student with the basic knowledge and skills needed to understand the principles of a water system. The student will be able to apply this knowledge and skills to the application of installation, servicing, and repair of heating and cooling systems using water as a medium.
ENTRY LEVEL COMPETENCIES
As a result of the learning experiences provided in the lectures and laboratory experiments, the student will be able to design, install, repair a hydronic system and its components.
