DRF 233 - COMPUTER AIDED DRAFTING III (3 CR.)

COURSE DESCRIPTION

Introduces programming skills and exposes student to geometric modeling. Focuses on proficiency in production drawing using a CAD system. Lecture 2 hours. Laboratory 2 hours. Total 4 hours per week.

GENERAL COURSE PURPOSE

To develop proficiency in production drawing using a CAD system.

ENTRY LEVEL COMPETENCIES

Competency in the use of a CAD system. Prerequisite: DRF 232 - 'Computer Aided Drafting II'.

COURSE OBJECTIVE

Upon the completion of the course, the student will be knowledgeable of typical solutions to complex drawing tasks by customizing the CAD system and using artificial intelligence language/expert systems programming techniques, 3-D graphics presentations, and geometric and solid modeling.
