“The Humanities in the Twenty-First Century,” funded by the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH), will enable selected instructors at the college to investigate the impact of digital technologies on the study, expression and teaching of the humanities. In particular, we wish to meet the needs of instructors teaching humanities courses who need to understand the concepts underlying the newly digitized humanities to best promote the study of the humanities. To stay flexible and responsive to the changing technical and curricular environment in the humanities, our community college faculty require access to the models and exemplary illustrations that this project will provide. As a result of this workshop, participants will have a better understanding of the digital humanities and be in a position to better use digitized humanities materials in their courses at the college. |
