NOVAConnect: Our Student Information System (SIS)

The new version of NOVAConnect is now available. If you experience difficulty accessing SIS: NOVAConnect, please call the IT Help Desk at 703.426.4141.

Now is the time to review the information and tutorials for the new student information system (SIS 9.0) found on this site. Be sure to read the Important Information below under Reminders.

The tutorial links are on the green navigation to the right, under NOVAConnect.

NOVAConnect is the name of NOVA’s Student Information System. NOVAConnect is your central source for accessing all your essential student information at your convenience. NOVAConnect gives you the ability to handle an array of tasks from searching for classes, registration, online applications and dropping/swapping courses; to making payments and managing your personal information through the Student Center. This site has all of the tutorials you need to use NOVAConnect, our Student Information System.

Be sure to use one of the admission and enrollment step-by-step checklists to help you through the enrollment process. Use the right menu bar to find the specific tutorial you need if you get stuck in the process.

Once you feel comfortable with how to use NOVAConnect and have reviewed admission and enrollment step-by-step checklist, log in and get started by clicking the My NOVA tab at the top right of this page.

Outage Announcement

  1. Users must check and reset PREFERENCES to be sure NOVA is in the INSTITUTION box and the TERM is the current one.
  2. Review the "How To" tutorials listed on the right.
  3. Look at the FAQ.
  4. Check the Important Information.
  5. View Current Issues.
  6. Call the IT HelpDesk at 703.426.4141.
  7. Click Easy Steps to Registration.
  8. Print copy of How to Use Student Center Guide.

Reminders

  • Starting on May 17 at 9:00 a.m., the link “Make a Payment” will change to read “Go to QuikPAY”. Please check your NOVA student email for updates or visit the QuikPAY tutorials website.
  • Be sure to read Important Information.
  • Former NOVA students who have not taken credit classes within the last three years need to complete the online application before enrolling in classes.
  • If you decide you do not want a class after you have enrolled, be sure to drop it so you will not be charged.
  • Find out which days you can begin Priority Registration by logging into NOVAConnect. Go to MyNOVA>VCCS SIS 9.0: Student Information System>Student Center>Enrollment Dates. Be sure your User Preferences are set for the correct semester.
