Understanding the eNOVA Interface

Once the interface appears, information is provided to help users prepare for interacting in the class: The interface contains the following components..

Participant Menu Bar

The Participant Menu bar contains the following default options:

  • File - to print or exit a class.
  • Edit - to undo, cut, copy, paste, delete, or select all.
  • View - to change the look of your Participant interface.
  • Actions - to raise your hand and say yes or no, to indicate laughter, applause, to step out or lock to talk.
  • Tools - to use text chat, feedback, video, set the Centra Audio Wizard and host application.
  • Help - to find out about this event, Centra 7 help, support tool, or about Centra.

Audio Area

The Audio area indicates microphone or speaker activity.

  • Yellow bars indicate you are sending or receiving audio. Adjust the sliders to control the microphone and speaker levels.
  • Press the Ctrl key while speaking during an event.

Participant Toolbars

The Participant toolbar provides quick access to many Centra Symposium functions. The following describes the icons on the Toolbar .

Icon Application Description

  • Raise your hand to ask a question. A number appears next to their name to indicate the order in which Participants raised their hands.
  • Say Yes (check mark) to answer yes to a question.
  • Say No (x mark) to answer no to a question.
  • Indicate Laughter at any time. A smiley face flashes to the left of your name for five seconds.
  • Indicate Applause at any time. Clapping hands flash to the left of your name for five seconds.
  • Step Out to indicate that you have stepped away from your computer and temporarily leave the session. Click step out again to rejoin the session.
  • Text Chat allows participants to communicate with other Participants and the Leader.
  • Feedback to indicate done, OK, not clear, etc
  • Audio to open the Audio Wizard.
  • Full Screen to maximize the session window.
