Using the Audio Wizard

Before you participate in an eNOVA session, you must set audio options in the Centra Audio Wizard for optimal sound quality. This wizard:

  • Checks your microphone and sound card installation.
  • Helps you adjust your speaker and microphone for optimal playback and recording.
  • Allows you to communicate clearly with others during a class.

The first time you log into an eNOVA session, the Audio Wizard opens automatically.

  1. Select your hardware audio type:
    - Headset with microphone
    - Speakers and microphone (This is the default.)
    - Speakers only, no microphone
  2. Click Next. The Speaker Volume screen displays and the audio plays.
  3. Click-Drag-Drop the slider on the Low-High control to adjust the speaker volume to a comfortable level.
  4. Click Next when done. The Microphone Volume screen displays.
  5. Speaker into your microphone to test the volume and while speaking, Click-Drag-Drop the slider on the Low-High control to adjust the microphone volume to a comfortable level.
  6. Click Finish. The Audio Wizard closes automatically and you are now in the eNOVA session.

NOTE: You can recheck your microphone and speaker volumes anytime by clicking on Tools at the top of the screen and selecting Audio Wizard on the drop-down menu.
