Before an Event

Before you attend your first eMEETING, there are a few things you should do:

  1. Decide which computer you will use. Make sure that it meets the minimum System Requirements.
  2. Make sure that the computer has a microphone. If not, you will need to install a microphone. (Installing a microphone usually does not require much more than plugging it in.)
  3. Perform a System Check on the computer.

If you are going to create a meeting you will also need:

  1. An account on the eMEETING server with meeting creation privileges.
  2. Your username and password for the server.

Account Information

You do not need an account on the server to attend an eMEETING, but you do need an account and the appropriate privileges to create an emeeting or view a recorded session.

You may already have an account even if you have never used it. Most, if not all, of the college's faculty and staff have already been given accounts on the eMEETING server. Students who have been enrolled in eNOVA courses may also have accounts on the server. Try logging in using the directions below. If you are unable to log in, contact TAC to request that an account be created for you.

Faculty:

Your eMEETING username is the same as the first part of your NOVA email address. The first time you log in, you will use the default password. The default password is the letter J followed by your six-digit birthday and an exclamation point. So if your birthday is August 1, 1965, your default password would be J080165!.

Students:

If you have an eNOVA account, your login is the same username that you use to log into Blackboard. Your password is your six-digit birthday. PLEASE change your password to something more secure as soon as you can.

 Log In To Your Account

  1. Go to http://enova.nvcc.edu.
  2. Enter your username in the login box.
  3. Enter your password into the password box.

Change Your Password

The first time you log in to your account, you will be prompted to change your password to something more secure.

  1. In the left hand navigation bar, click on the My Profile link.
  2. Enter a new password in the password box.
  3. Retype your password in the second password box.
  4. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Submit.
