Welcome to NOVA! Every important journey involves careful preparation. NOVA requires you to participate in a Student Orientation program offered at five of NOVA's campuses.
As a new first-time college student under the age of 24 you will be directed to sign up after completing your placement testing.
- Interpretation of Placement Test Scores
- Develop an academic goal
- First semester academic advising
- Create your class schedule and register for courses
- Learn about payment options and Financial Aid
- A campus tour led by student leaders
Student Orientations are led by First Year Advisors, college teaching faculty and student orientation leaders.
Orientation sessions will be posted soon. Check back here for a listing of the orientation sessions and to register for a session.
NOVA is a large community. We encourage you to take advantage of the personalized attention we show you to start strong on your academic career at NOVA. Student orientation sessions begin May 6 for the Fall 2014 semester. The earlier you attend a Student Orientation -- the more likely you are to get the classes and the class times that you want!
