Welcome to NOVA! Every important journey involves careful preparation. NOVA requires you to participate in a Student Orientation program offered at five of NOVA's campuses.
As a first-time-to-college student under the age of 24 you must start by completing your placement testing and then sign up for a NOVA email account before you can register for an Orientation session.
Special Notice for Pathway Students:
Pathway to the Baccalaureate program students will attend Student Orientation in their high schools and should NOT register for an on-campus Student Orientation. Registration information for Pathway to the Baccalaureate Student Orientation will be sent to students by their Pathway Counselor in their high school.
At Student Orientation you will:
- Receive interpretation of Placement Test scores
- Develop an academic goal
- Meet with a first-year advisor
- Create your class schedule and register for courses
- Learn about payment options and Financial Aid
The earlier you attend a Student Orientation -- the more likely you are to get the classes and the class times that you want!
Student Orientations are led by First Year Advisors, college teaching faculty and student orientation leaders.
