NOVACares

Northern Virginia Community College cares about our student's emotional and physical well-being, as well as their academic success. NOVA has developed the NOVACares program which is managed by the NOVA Office of Student Mental Health and Behavior. NOVA has developed campus assessment, response and evaluation (CARE) teams that are committed to a proactive approach to helping our students succeed while maintaining a safe community.

The NOVACares mission is to provide a systematic response to students whose behavior is disruptive to themselves, to others or to the community. While NOVA does not provide mental health services (per VCCS policy), it does provide faculty, staff and students with appropriate referrals for mental health intervention and services..

If you have a concern about anyone's behavior or safety that affects the NOVA community, please complete and submit the NOVACares form by clicking on the Report Concerns button on the right.

If the situation warrants an immediate emergency response, please call NOVA Police at 703.764.5000. If you have questions, comments or concerns about the NOVACares program, please contact the Office of Student Mental Health and Behavior.

Use the buttons below to access important resources available to everyone at NOVA.
