ESSENTIALS OF MATERNAL/NEWBORN NURSING

(4.00 CR.)

Utilizes the concepts of the nursing process in caring for families in the antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum periods. Includes math computational skills and basic computer instruction related to the delivery of nursing care. Provides supervised learning experiences in college nursing laboratories and/or cooperating agencies. Prerequisites determined by local college. Lecture 2 hours. Laboratory 6 hours. Total 8 hours per week.
