Student ID Number

The Student ID will be used throughout a student’s NOVA College career to identify him or her in NOVAConnect and the student’s College records. NOVAConnect assigns a seven-digit Student ID number at the time a student applies for admission.

Social Security Number

The student’s Social Security number is not required as part of the student record, so it will not be used as a Student ID number. Students must, however, submit their Social Security number to receive financial aid or military/veterans benefits. For students who receive financial aid, the Social Security number will be used in connection with federal financial aid applications such as Pell Grants, and deferments for previous student loans.
