Commonwealth Commuter Choice Program
NOVA employees who are concerned about increases in gas prices, global warming, and the impact of increased traffic in the Northern Virginia area might be interested in the Commonwealth Commuter Choice Program. The benefit of helping the environment as well as saving wear and tear on your car may outweigh the 'inconvenience' of not having your car on campus. The program pays a maximum of $105 per month to state employees commuting by public transit or vanpool. Benefits will be distributed to employees monthly in the form of "Metrocheks," which can be used on all forms of public transportation in the area. Note that employees are not allowed to both have a parking sticker and participate in the Commuter Choice Program.
