NOVA’s EDU 295: Teaching Online
Participants will learn how to promote active learning, social presence, and community; explore new technologies; and learn assessment and time-management techniques. See the EDU 295 course information page, http://novaonline.nvcc.edu/Descriptions/edu295common/edu295ci509.htm, for details. This three-credit eight-week online course begins May 18 and ends July 13. Both full-time and adjunct faculty may qualify for free tuition for this course.

President’s Sabbatical
The President’s Sabbatical Award allows three faculty members, one of whom can be on a 12-month contract, to receive a semester of leave with full pay. Proposals will be awarded based on their excellence and a candidate’s potential to contribute to the long-term mission of the College.
