Prerequisites are ACQ 121, 122 and 235. Covers the acquisition of major systems from establishment of a requirement for budgeting, solicitation and selection, negotiation and contract administration to interactions between the contract specialist, contracting officer, technical officers, and contractors. Monitoring performance, tracking cost/schedule, technical charges, project charges, and problem solving are highlighted. Lecture 3 hours per week.
