Purpose: This curriculum is designed to prepare persons for employment in the electronics industry. In addition, the student who completes the program may choose to transfer to a four-year institution to pursue a bachelor's degree in Electronics Technology. Occupational objectives include: electronics technician, computer technician, telecommunications technician, radio and television technician, metrology technician, research and development technician, industrial control technician.
Recommended Preparation: Successful completion of high school algebra and geometry.

(1) The PED requirement may be met by one of the following options: PED 116, 2 cr.; PED 116, 1 cr. plus a PED activities course, 1 cr.; or PED 116, 1 cr. plus RPK 205, 207, 208, 216, or 225. PED 116 is offered as both a 1-credit and a 2-credit course.
(2) Social science courses may be selected from the following: economics, geography, history, political science, psychology, or sociology (includes anthropology).
Purpose: This program is designed for students seeking to enter the field of biomedical electronics technologies. Employment opportunities exist in hospitals and laboratories for electronics personnel who are proficient in servicing and maintaining medical equipment.
