BASIC EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIAN


Career Studies Certificate

Purpose: The curriculum is designed to develop the competencies of the Basic Emergency Medical Technician (EMT/B).

Students must comply with all General Requirements for Health Technologies as specified in Section I.

Admission Requirements: Students must meet the following requirements in order to be certified as an EMT/B in the Commonwealth of Virginia (Section 6:00 of the EMS Rules and Regulations):

1. First Year requirements for degree program.

2. Special Program Completion Requirements for the A.A.S. degree in Emergency Medical Services Technology.
