IST 212
INTRODUCTION TO TELECOMMUNICATIONS (3 CR.)
Prerequisite is IST 100. Surveys data transmission systems, communication
lines, data sets, network, modes of transmission, protocols, and
interfacing. Emphasizes network structure and operation. Focuses on
application of telecommunications to real-world problems. Lecture 3 hours
per week.
