INTRODUCTION TO MICROELECTRONICS PROCESSES

    Introduces the process of precision manufacturing through its applications in the semiconductor industry. Covers an     overview of the industry and processing environment, semiconductor materials and their properties, safety and     contamination control, and manufacturing processes including wafer preparation, oxidation/diffusion/chemical vapor     deposition, photolithography, engineering methods and quality control. Lecture 3 hours per week.
