INTRODUCTION TO AMERICAN SIGN LANGUAGE

    Teaches the fundamentals of fingerspelling, American sign language structure, and sign language vocabulary. Develops     skills for communication with the hearing impaired. Introduces the nonlanguage aspects of communications, including     eye movement, facial expression, and body posture. Explores and develops skills in gesture pantomime and body     language. Lecture 3 hours per week.
