Corequisite is CSC 100 or equivalent and a satisfactory score on the proficiency examination for MTH 173 or equivalent or division approval. For engineers EGR 120 is a prerequisite. Introduces algorithm and problem-solving methods. Emphasizes structured programming concepts, elementary data structures, and the study and use of a high-level programming language. Lecture 4 hours per week.
