Provides an overview of American housing past and present, with an introduction to the home building industry. Studies the evolution of the home building industry as a parallel and dependent function of the evolution of housing, including social and economic reasons for changes in the housing industry. Considers the functional relationships among people, houses and the environment. Lecture 3 hours per week.
