CARPENTRY FRAMING I-II

    Presents an introduction to carpentry with emphasis on residential construction. Covers safety on the job, appropriate     use of power tools, basic construction techniques, an introduction to working drawings, and the team approach to     residential building. Presents an introduction to selection and use of ladders and scaffolds, and basic form removal and     demolition, and use of basic first aid. Includes the concept of carpentry framing for floors, walls, ceilings, porches and     decks. Includes theoretical and practical application as well as the concepts of carpentry framing for roof, truss     installation, and door and window installation. Lecture 3 hours. Laboratory 4 hours. Total 7 hours per week.
