Purpose: The curriculum will provide students with the accounting courses needed to meet the requirements of the Virginia Board for Accountancy as preparation to sit for the Certified Public Accounting (C.P.A.) examination. Most jurisdictions, if not all, require a baccalaureate degree in addition to other requirements to sit for the C.P.A. examination.
