OPTOMETRIC CLINICAL PROCEDURES I

    Prerequisite is completion of the Optometric Assistant Certificate or equivalent. Studies refractive status of the eye and its correction. Covers techniques and diagnostic procedures which evaluate eye function and ocular health. Includes preliminary testing, data collection, patient handling, keratometry, chairside assisting, and blood pressure measurement. Lecture 2 hours. Laboratory 3 hours. Total 5 hours per week.
