PRINCIPLES OF MARKETING

    Presents principles, methods and problems involved in the distribution and marketing of goods and services to industrial and ultimate consumers. Introduces various marketing middlemen: wholesaler, retailer, broker, and agent, including cooperative and trade associations, shippers, stores, and facilitators. Discusses present-day problems and policies connected with distribution and sale of products, pricing, promotion, and buyer motivation. Examines variations of the marketing mix and market research, plus legal, social, and ethical considerations in marketing. Lecture 3 hours per week.
