Prerequisite is IST 200. Presents common networking protocols including the TCP/IP protocol suite and the UNIX NSF (Network File System) distributed file system. Teaches TCP/IP management and troubleshooting, and maintenance of NSF and ftp. Introduces UNIX operating system. Lecture 3 hours per week.
