BIO-MEDICAL ETHICS

    Examines the ethical implications of specific biomedical issues in the context of major ethical systems. Lecture 3 hours per     week.     (3 CR.)     PHI 229 ADVANCED BIOMEDICAL ETHICS     Prerequisite is PHI 227 or permission of instructor. Continues to build on the topics and issues introduced in PHI 227,     Biomedical Ethics. Increases the student's intellectual and practical access to biomedical ethics topics including informed     consent, conflicts of obligations, conflicts of interest, and issues involving children within the medical setting. Lecture 3     hours per week.
